Detour are a local indie-pop Perth band fronted by Becca on vocals and rhythmic guitar, Annalise on bass and backup vocals, Jonah lead guitar and Seb smashing out the drums.

 

They’re a bunch of 16 year olds that have been playing together since first meeting at Rock Scholars in 2017 and forming at the fresh age of 11. Detour have gained admirable attention across the Perth scene, inserting themselves comfortably as one of the best new up-and-comers having supported many local and national bands including Red Hook, Verge Collection, Pot Plant House Party, Noah Dillon and Sly Withers.

After the release of their debut single ‘Left Shoe’ Detour took out a number of accolades in 2021 including Fairbridge Festival Quest winners, WAM Song of the year in Schools 15-18 category and Grand Prize Second Runner Up at WAM SOTY awards. With a growing fan base the band have begun to leave their mark on Perth’s festival scene, having opened for Hyperfest in 2022.
